connection with other softwares

Hi tom,

I have a few questions with regards to the development of ventity/vensim.

1. Is there a way we can access data from other software in real time (co-simulation) into ventity? or vensim? Like Simulink for matlab.

2. Can we access statistical software interaction (Such as R or Python) without exporting/importing data into excel files?

If not, what are the future directions ,the ventity team is taking?

Incorporating these abilities through a common code (through coupling) can open up SD to more robust modeling i feel. What do you think?

We definitely have this on our road map. However, these capabilities are currently not very high on the priority list, due to perceived lack of demand. We'd be interested in hearing other votes for such things.

Most of the packages in other software support simple formulas of SD. Is there any software or a package in Python which supports formulas of the allocation section (Allocation functions)?

Not that I know of. The alloc functions are unique to Ventana.
