I am using Vensim PLE 7.3.4. I would like to create customer RGB colours to apply to variable font colour. I have seen directions on vensim.com to use the Colors & Markings tab, however I haven't been able to locate it, and can't see anything relevant under Options. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

In the options menu, you can change the font for dialog boxes etc.

If you want to change the font for a specific model view, there are a series of buttons along the bottom toolbar that you can use to set the font. Select the parameters you want to change, then hit the button at the bottom that lists the current font.

Thank you for your reply. To be clear, I know how to change the font/ arrow colour etc. to one of the pre-loaded colours in Vensim. My question is, how can I create custom colours by specifying the RGB levels (i.e. corresponding to shades that are not pre-loaded), to align with my organisation's style guide?

Can you upload an example of what you want to change? And what you want to change it to?

I have attached the vensim file and a screenshot. I would like to change the blue text to my organisation's "Approved" Turquoise R11 G113 B97. And the pink to R172,G51,B130. Thanks

ok, you can do this but you will need to edit a text file.

1. Make sure Vensim is closed.
2. Open Windows File Explorer and paste in %APPDATA%\Vensim\ to the location. You should see a file called venplep.ini.
3. Open venplep.ini in a text editor.
4. At the bottom of the file, paste in the following.
CustomColor 0=11-113-97
CustomColor 1=172-51-130

5. Save the file.
6. Start Vensim.

The new colours should appear now in the colour pallette.
