Sterman Delay models (CH11) have all components on one small spot on the screen

Good day, all,
I'm looking at the Adaptive models in Business Dynamics by John Sterman, and the ADAPTIVE.MDL and
ADAPTIV1.mdl files show all of the components of the models sitting on top of each other in a
small section of the window, and I'm struggling to separate the components.
It came this way from the CD I got with the Sterman book.
Does Vensim have a way of analyzing a model and spacing it correctly ?

I've attached a jpg that shows the original configuration, at a zoom setting of 300.
If I increase zoom to 500, it shows the same 'piling-on' config.

Thanks...Tom

Can you upload the model? My guess is it's from a very old version of Vensim and something has messed up the variable coordinates.

Here is the model ADAPTIVE.mdl from The CD:

Try the attached. The DPI information was missing from the file for some reason.

That seems to have done it.
Other models from that CD exhibit the same behavior, like POLYAPRO.mdl, NONLINEA.mdl,
Chapter 4, 8 models seem fine,
Ch9
BASSREPE.mdl is same way,
BASSWITH crashes my PLE+ v8.2.1,
RICHARDS appears to be from an early version of Vensim, but allows me to convert the character set.
SI_MODEL is piled on
SINNOVA is ok
SIRMODE1 is piled on
SIRMODEL is piled on.

I could go through the other 11 chapters and check the models, but I don't want to take up your time.
There are other examples I can study and use, like the few models in Donella Meadows' book
Thinking in Systems, or Diana Fishers' Modelling Dynamic Systems, Lessons for a First Course,
Third Edition, a book I bought in 2011 from ISEE Systems.

Thanks for your help.

Tom

By the way, yesterday I emailed BusDyn@mit.edu to ask them if they could correct the models that
are 'piled-on', and also the models, I found, are strung vertically along the left side
of the Vensim model window. There are 8 of those.

I would like to see all the models working with the current versions of Vensim; it
would be a positive step to those who have purchased the book but had to put in
the work to rearrange the components in the models.
Maybe the book would now be used by more schools and higher ed.

Can you email me directly at vensim@vensim.com, I'll give you access to the beta build of Vensim which loads all the models (I tested this morning).
