how to change variable settings for multiple variables at a time

is it possible to apply the type of settings that I can apply to a variable when I do a right click (contextual menu) to several variables at a time?
I need to merge two models in one of which aux-vars have used the setting "clear box" whereas the other model uses "none". Hence I would like to switch them all to "none".
Any hints appreciated.
