Vensim user interface keeps switching back to the old design

I previously installed PRO and PLE in my desktop and recently updated the PLE package. Somehow the interface keeps showing the old design rather than the new one. My students who had never installed Vensim in their systems before have no such issue. How can I switch to the new interface? I've tried to uninstalled the old version, deleted associated folders in C drive... but nothing worked.
