New feature Default IO Object configuration not working

I have read in the release notes of 9.2:
Default IO Object configuration
You can now change the default IO object created using the IO object tool. Right click on the button to change this.
However, when I right click the button, there is no way to do this (see attached screenshot).

You need to be using the new GUI to access this (Tools->Switch to new sketch).
