Issue with equation (Fx) function

Post by Vicky »

Hi support team,

I am a university lecturer and looking at a opportunity to start using Vensim software for our systems analysis courses. I have been training myself and i am getting most of the functions well except for the 'equation -fx ' function. when i click on the function icon then to the variable it just disappears and makes the model inactive. I have tried several times but still get the same issue. I am not sure where i am going wrong with this

Please help. I am happy to set up an online call for demo if that is ok.

Thanks

Does this happen when you have been working on a multi-monitor setup and returning to a single monitor? Could the equation editor be appearing off-screen (that shouldn't happen as we have code in place to prevent it).

What operating system are you using? And are you on the new or old GUI in Vensim?

Thanks for getting back.
Where can I find the code so that I can run it to prevent the issue from reoccurring?

I am using Vensim PLE. OS is Windows 11.

The code is within Vensim itself to prevent the equation editor appearing off screen.

The following video shows how to enter equations (and what you should see).
