I'm starting a couple online income streams and was using Vensim to map out what my income would look like over time if and when I completed the projects. Unfortunately, I can only make 100 bucks this year, but those positive feedback loops create an exponential effect, and I'll get that a day in 6 years down the line with just the projects I'm working on now.
I told my professor (who is a system dynamics dude w/ a doctorate in economy I think) what I was up to, and he sent me a model of Amazon.com. I was extremely happy that there was a model out there of an internet business that could help me. However, it uses subscripts, and I get this message whenever I try to run a simulation:
ERROR: Subscripts are not supported in this Vensim.
Should I download the trial version to take a look at it closer? I can view the equations, but I just can't simulate the model. Kind of sucks...
Academic Version Has No Subscripts?
