pulse

Post by oludot5 »

Hi there,

the level "received docs" is suppose to receive a pulse input of 10 at time 1 and 0 at other times, thus, having a value of 8(10-2) at time 1 and then 6,4,2....I am confused why level "received docs" has a value of 2 at time 1 and value of 12 at time 2....I presume am making a basic mistake so apologies for that

The problem is with the "rate" parameter. At t=0, it has a value of -2, so the equation inside the level actually adds 2 to the stock.

It might help if you explain what you want to achieve here and maybe we can point you in the right direction.

It's also a very good idea to add units to your models.

Tony.

Almost all built-in functions have a sample model linked to the function's page in the Help system.
