Does anyone know of (people busy with) a (quantitative SD) model
for transition management, taking into account stakeholder
perceptions, goals, fears, confidence, etc?
or: a model for organic farming specific dynamics of sector growth?
INFO:
We (Wageningen University & Research Centre) work on a model-supported
stakeholder dialogue on the development of organic farming. Stakeholders
are farmers, trade & industry, retail, consumers and the governement
(and banks?).
It could be a sequential debottlenecking exercise, identifying a hierarchy
of bottlenecks, and well-timed actions to release them, according to time
delay configurations.
We plan to
1) keep it VERY SIMPLE...
2) take a rough input-output table as a core of the product flows,
including imports/exports and nutrient (manure) cycles.
3) address consumer behaviour, with ingredients: sociological typologies,
values, attitudes and emotional states. (PLEASE HINTS?!!!)
4) evaluate the sustainable (People, Planet Profit) performance of organic
farming (there are mixed indications!). Any methodologies to quantify
and SUM animal welfare, price/benefit, health, environment??
