Hey Everybody
I am trying to prepare a Venapp file for usage with application runtime and did the renaming ( Venapp -> .vcf and graphs get .vgf, the model itself is also saved as vmf). still when i try to open the venapp i get an error message...
Any ideas what could be the cause?

The easiest thing to do is to download 5.5a and just use File>Publish to create an application package with the Venapp open in the Venapp editor. This way you don't need to worry about converting any files.
for older versions you need to save everything to binary format - not just rename. See chapter 13 of the DSS Reference supplement for details.

Sorry, my mistake, of course i had to reinstall the Application Runtime aswell, but that means that all users who want to view the interface i created have to have Application Runtime 5.5 aswell;(.
I heard about a possibility to create standalone .exe files, are any extras needed for this option or how could i do that?

I have another question: I'd like to put a set of .cin files into the package, this works, as far as i see it. But then i want to have them read in on pressing different buttons. The question now is from which path can I load those files in the VenApp code as just the name of the file doesn't work...

Thanx a lot, copying the files in advance worked. About the Vensim Application Redistribution Kit: I could not find any pricing information for that. Would it be possible for u to send me some further information (tobias.t.lorenz@daimlerchrysler.com)?
