This is to announce that finaly (from my knowledge the first time) an
European Project proposal which is mainly based on the use of System
Dynamics methodology and modelling System to support operational and
management decisions, presented in the ESPRIT IV (European commission
Specific RTD Programme in the field of Information Technology)
programme, has been succesfuly evaluated. The project called DAMAS
(DAshboard MAnager System) is a two years project with an estimation of
about 24 men years effort and involves three European consultancy and
software house companies + one research institute + two industrial
users.
The field in which the project will experiment DAMAS will be Wine making
industry. 50% of the total budget of the project will be supported by
European Comunity.
To develop the System, DAMAS consortium could involve other companies
or consultants as subcontractors.
As the project coordinator Im interested:
1)to exchange information with anyone who has experience in the specific
area (Use of S.D. in Wine-producing firm)
2)to collaborate and put in common experience with any other group or
consortium involved in projects supported by European Commision dealing
with use of S.D. approach
3)to evalute the possibility of colaborating with European candidates
(Company or free consultant) which have specific and OPERATIVE
competency in the use of S.D. in the area of firm management Decision
Support Systems and particularly in implementing S.D. modelling for
Agro-alimentary (including wine and similar) industry.
The project will start operatively in autumn 97.
