Hello.
Ive just joined this list server and Id like to learn more about the Road Maps referred
to in previous messages. What are they? Who publishes them? Where can they be
purchased? We are building a corporate capability to create system dynamics models
for our military customers using the iThink tool. We have sent several people to training
and we are building a small library of books, papers, and other resources about systems
thinking and simulation. While we have a lot of experience in the change management
arena using conventional activity and data modeling, our experience in systems dynamics
modeling is limited and we would appreciate your feedback. Also any additional information
about professional organizations, users groups, publications, and seminars concerning
system dynamics and simulation would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Lee Spain

Hello Lee,
Road Maps is a series of self-study guides that use modeling exercises and
elected literature to provide a resource for learning about the principles
and practices of system dynamics.
Road Maps is written by the System Dynamics in Education Project at MIT, a
group of undergraduate students working under the direction of Prof. Jay W.
Forrester. Eight chapters of Road Maps are currently available and can be
downloaded from:
http://sysdyn.mit.edu
Some additional books are required for purchase in order to complete all
the readings in Road Maps. The series is currently based on STELLA II.
