Unable to add subrange

Hello,

I am running Vensim Professional 6.3, 32bit, under Windows 8.1. I have added a subscript and subscript elements, as you can see in that attached screen shot. Now, I want to group the elements in the subscript into subranges. I want a subrange for 'Regions' and another for 'Countries'. But when I click the 'Edit' button to the right of 'Subranges' in the subscript control panel, nothing happens and the Editor does not open. If I open a model that already has subranges set in a subscript, then clicking the subrange edit button sometimes opens the Editor but more often than not doesn't Sometimes I have to close and reopen the model several times before I can get that to work.

However, my problem at the moment is that I have a model that I need to add a subrange to and I can't seem to do it. Am I doing something wrong, or is this a problem others have come across?

That button only works if you select an existing sub-range.

Just click the "New" button and enter the sub range in there.

Also, it's often helpful to work in reverse, starting at the bottom of the hierarchy, like:

countries : (c1-c5)
regions : (r1-r4)

then

places : countries, regions
