I am a student at Worcester Polytechnic Institute working on a
project modeling the dynamics of fundamentalist terrorist groups.
We have located a wealth of information regarding terrorism and
organizations, but are also looking for any previous SD approaches to
terrorism.
We are aware of HPSs, Story of the Month, "A Systems Thinking Look at
Terrorism", as well as the posting ANNOUNCE Paper on Policy Instruments
in the War on Terrorism.
Any additional citations, information, or contacts would be appreciated.
Sincerely,

SD Approaches to Terrorism
Try to find G. Coyle´s paper on this theme named "A Methodology for
Understanding Military Complexity:
The Case ot the Rhodesian Counter-Insurgency Campaign"
Might be useful.
Small Wars and Insurencies Vol 7 No.3 (Winter 1996 pp360-378).

SD Approaches to Terrorism
We seem to get a lot of these requests and its not a bad idea to start by
looking at the SD literature. Theres a refereed journal called System
Dynamics Review, try Vol. 13, No 3, Fall 1997! You might also look at a more
obscure journal Small Wars and Insurgencies, Vol. 7, No 3, winter 1996.
