Whats your law?

Post by "Finn Jackson" »

Since we seem all to be interested in understanding/discussing the "law-like
patterns" that drive the way the universe works, I thought it might be
useful to share the following link:

http://www.edge.org/q2004/q04_print.html

www.Edge.org, the self-styled "on-line intellectual salon", begins each year
by posing a question to its distinguished roster of authors and invited
guests.

This year the website asks them to propose "some bit of wisdom, some rule of
nature, some lawlike pattern, either grand or small, that youve noticed in
the universe..." thats ready to take a place near Keplers and Faradays
and Murphys.

The results (at least to me) make interesting reading.

Perhaps it might be worthwhile to replicate the experiment on these pages?

With regards,
Finn
