Hello, I'm new to Vensim (PLE) and I can't get the documentation to install properly on my Macbook Air, OS X v10.7.5.
After unpacking the zip file, I installed Vensim without problems, but when I get to vendocs, I get a warning that says that there is a problem with the disk image. I tried downloading it again just minutes ago and it went the same way.
Regards,
Jaime

Re: Docs install (Mac)
I just tried it on my Mac and had no problems.
Can you download again and make sure you get no errors when you unzip the file?
Tony.

Thank you Tony. I just did it again and got the same result. I'm attaching an image with the warning (in spanish).

And if you open it, does it install ok?
That is just a standard Mac warning message to make sure you don't run any programs you don't want to. It's not an error with the documentation.

Re: Docs install (Mac)
Thank you Tony. I proceeded with the installation, and it finished without further problems. However, when I try to open "Vensim Manuals" or "Readme Notes" I get an error that says:
"You are not authorized to open the document index.html.
You should contact your administrator for further assistance"
But I have administrator privileges...

Re: Docs install (Mac)
It sounds like something has gone wrong with the permissions on your machine. Unfortunately I cannot offer any advice on the Mac (I only use it when testing Vensim). I do know that there is a "fix permissions" setting somewhere on the Mac, you could try that.

Re: Docs install (Mac)
Solved! I tried "fix permissions" but it didn't work. I ended up giving me permisions to all folders related to Vensim and now everything seems fine.
Thank you very much
Jaime
