Modeling of aircraft servicing

Post by "John W. Rodat" »

Ive seen a discrete model built with Extend of the service cycle of NASAs
space shuttle program. You should go to the web site of Imagine That
software, download their demo and try it. See if they have the NASA model.
If not send me a direct note. I think I still have a copy. If I can find it,
Ill send it along.

In addition, as I recall the Austrailian Air Force did a model using STELLA
of their FB-111 fleet. Ive never seen that one, but Ive been told that
because the simulated time units are very small (minutes?) and it runs for
something like a simulated week or month, it takes a very long time to run.
This model may have been presented at one of the annual meetings of the
System Dynamics Society. If not, a colleague of mine can tell you who to get
in touch with.

Best regards.

Hi Dimitriy,

My name is John McLuckie from International System Dynamics Pty Ltd based
in Sydney, Australia. We have developed a range of System Dynamic Models
for managing aircraft in service. This has been primarily in the defence
arena. Please find attached a copy of paper presented at ISD conference in
Quebec (July 1998). This may be of interest. Look forward to hearing from
you. We are also the "ithink" distributors for Australia.

[Hosts note: Attachments are not supported on this list. If anyone would like
a copy of the paper please write directly to John.]

Regards
John McLuckie
